In the spirit of inclusion, diversity, and equity, LASUSTECH Libraries strive to provide a universally accessible experience across our physical and digital environments. We recognize that some users may encounter barriers. Additional supports and alternative arrangements are available to help address these inequities.

Whether you’re visiting a library, accessing books, journals, or other collections in person or online, or exploring assistive technologies, our team is here to help.

Procedures for requesting accommodation

  1. Contact the Library Accessibility Desk at accessibility.library@lasustech.edu.ng or call +234 000 000 0000.
  2. Describe the barrier and the course or activity affected (e.g., scanning, printing, database access, physical space).
  3. Provide any relevant documentation if available (optional). We focus on functional needs first.
  4. We’ll agree on supports (e.g., alternative formats, extended loan, retrieval services, quiet room booking, technology aids) and timelines.
Urgent exam-related requests? Reach out at least 5 working days in advance where possible.

  • Email accessibility.library@lasustech.edu.ng for consultations on accessible course readings, digitization, and captions/transcripts.
  • We can assist with accessible procurement of e-resources and software used in teaching and research.
  • Workshops available: accessibility in teaching materials, universal design for learning (UDL), and assistive technologies overview.
For workplace accommodations, coordinate with HR while we support library-specific needs.

Visitors and alumni can request reasonable accommodations for library use, including mediated access to print/digital materials and guidance with assistive technology available in our spaces.
